Oliver Jeffers x Feit

Oliver launched a collection of slippers, for both children and adults, in collaboration with footwear brand, FEIT. Accompanying each pair was an exclusive art book, written and illustrated by Oliver. This was a project that used craftsmanship and art to make us consider our relationship with the planet and with each other. 

FEIT traces its roots to 1996. Since then, they have been steadfast in the pursuit of crafting products with no equal, with their focus always on quality and responsible practices. Made in partnership with master craftspeople in regions of specialised renown the world over, FEIT maximises their areas of expertise to create durable and beautiful products with the highest-grade natural materials.

 “All That We Need”, is the latest instalment of FEIT partnering with creators exemplary in their respective fields; past partners include BDDW, craft furniture and design, and Toogood, installations and interiors. The collaboration between Oliver and FEIT highlights our place within the natural world: the sun provides energy for trees to grow, the trees create wood so we can make fire, the fire creates tools that we use with our hands to build “useful things” like shoes, so we can walk across Earth to be with each other. Motifs from the booklet—trees, fire, hammers, hands, and feet—decorate the vegetable-tanned leather slippers, as well as the dust bag made from organic cotton.
